Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Business Development Manager to support the firm’s growth initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior stakeholders to drive business development, marketing strategies, client engagement, and brand positioning.

This is a key role for a proactive professional who understands the professional services environment and enjoys working in a fast‑paced, partner‑led firm culture.

Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement business development and marketing strategies aligned with the firm’s growth objectives
    • Work closely with partners to identify new business opportunities and cross‑selling initiatives
    • Support practice groups with pitches, proposals, and capability statements
    • Manage and prepare submissions for legal directories, awards, and rankings
    • Coordinate client events, seminars, and networking activities
    • Conduct market, competitor, and client research to support strategic planning
    • Maintain and improve CRM systems and client data integrity
    • Assist with branding, communications, and thought leadership initiatives
    • Track BD performance metrics and prepare management reports as required

What We’re Looking For

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
    • Minimum 5–8 years of business development or marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment
    • Strong understanding of legal services, partnership structures, and client relationship management
    • Proven experience in managing pitches, proposals, and legal directory submissions
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin is advantageous
    • Confident, proactive, and comfortable working directly with partners and senior management
